Love Never Dies: Wife’s Heartbreaking Plea for Missing Husband After Bridge Collapse

The city of Baltimore was rocked by tragedy on Tuesday⁢ morning ⁣when a 985-foot-long vessel⁤ struck the Francis Scott Key Bridge, causing a portion of it to collapse into the Patapsco River. As recovery operations ‌resumed on Wednesday, the focus remained ⁣on locating the six individuals who are presumed dead in the aftermath of the⁤ incident.

According to CNN, the missing workers are from Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador. The US Coast Guard has officially declared that they have died and will be suspending their search and rescue‍ efforts.

Among the missing is‌ Miguel Luna,⁣ a 49-year-old husband and father of three who had been‌ living in ​Maryland for nearly⁢ twenty years. Luna⁢ was ⁣part of a crew working on pothole repairs on the bridge when the collapse occurred, as reported by the BBC.

His wife, María del Carmen Castellón, spoke of the family’s devastation as they anxiously await any ⁤news about their loved one. In an interview with Telemundo 44, she expressed her ​heartbreak and the uncertainty they are facing.

Maynor Yassir Suazo Sandoval, 38, was also identified as one of the‌ missing workers. Originally ⁤from Honduras, Maynor had been ‍living in the US for eighteen years and was a married father of two children. His brother, Martin⁤ Suazo, shared that Maynor was a​ hardworking and dedicated individual.

The six workers, including Maynor, were⁤ employed by Brawner Builders, a local contractor responsible for maintenance contracts on bridges in Maryland. The company’s senior executive, Jeffrey Pritzker, expressed ⁢shock and sadness over the incident, emphasizing their commitment to safety.
