Sofia Vergara’s ‘Modern Family’ Co-Star Delivers Blunt Comment on Joe Manganiello Divorce

The news of Sofia Vergara’s split from her husband, Joe Manganiello, has left many fans in shock, especially considering how perfect the couple seemed for each other. After seven years of marriage, their separation has raised eyebrows, particularly since they were last seen together just a month ago in Hoboken, N.J., where Vergara visited Manganiello on the set of his latest project, “Nonnas” with Vince Vaughn.

Their love story began in 2014 at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, where they were introduced by one of Vergara’s “Modern Family” co-stars, Jesse Tyler Ferguson. Despite their initial chemistry and public displays of affection, signs of trouble surfaced recently.

Vergara, who serves as a judge on the popular NBC show “America’s Got Talent,” celebrated her birthday in Italy without Manganiello by her side. Fans became suspicious when she posted a photo with the caption: “When life gives u lemons u come to Italy to squeeze them.” Manganiello’s birthday tribute on Instagram, a grainy, zoomed-in photo with the caption “!!Feliz Cumpleaños Sofía!!!,” was seen as somewhat cold by fans, fueling speculation about their relationship.

As Vergara continued to share photos of her vacation in Italy, one particular image caught the attention of her co-star, Julie Bowen. In the photo, Vergara wore a cheeky blue leopard print thong swimsuit, with Bowen commenting: “This is what single and looks like!!!”

The couple announced their divorce late last week in a joint statement to Page Six, saying: “We have made the difficult decision to divorce. As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect of our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives.”

In a 2019 interview with Men’s Health, Manganiello spoke highly of his relationship with Vergara, saying: “My life is great because I really like my wife. I like talking to her. I like goofing around with her. We f***ing laugh all day long every day. My favorite thing in the world is making my wife laugh so much she cries. It’s the best.”

Despite the breakup, Vergara appears unfazed, continuing to enjoy her vacation and sharing glimpses of her trip on social media.
