A social media influencer sparked controversy when⁢ she shared a TikTok post claiming that she is “too pretty” for the daily grind of ​work.

Lucy Welcher, a⁣ popular social media influencer with almost 20 ‌million likes,⁣ recently ‍posted a video that quickly went viral.

In the video,⁣ the young blonde, who has been known to flaunt her lavish lifestyle on social‌ media, can be seen sitting in her car, sipping an iced coffee and boasting ⁢about her latest shopping haul. However, it was her caption that caused a stir, as she wrote, ‍“Not my thing [laughing emoji] #working #scam.”

In the nine-second clip, Welcher can be heard saying, “I do not want to work⁢ for the⁤ rest of my life. Does it look like I want to get up at 6 a.m. every f**king day for the next 60 years? No! I’m too pretty for that!”

The post received a lot of negative comments,‌ with many‌ accusing Welcher of being lazy and entitled.

One user wrote, “I wish I had your confidence to think I’m better ‍looking than I actually am. You are so shallow ⁢and in ⁤love‍ with yourself.”

Another​ commented, “You are so ‍entitled. I⁤ hope you‌ get humbled and ​realize that looks have nothing ​to do with working.”

In⁤ response to the backlash, Welcher ⁢deleted⁢ the controversial video and posted‌ a new one, where she addressed the criticism she received. ‍She ‌explained that her post was meant to be a ⁤joke and that she was being “slandered all ‌over social media” for it.

In a sarcastic tone, Welcher also addressed some of the rumors‍ that ‍were circulating about her, such as owning expensive cars‍ and earning a six-figure salary. She also revealed⁣ that she is Canadian and that the ⁣claim of her living in a mansion ​is false.


A few days later, on November 14, Welcher posted a new video, titled “Remake of​ the ⁤most ⁤hated video​ I’ve ever made.” In⁢ this video, she repeats the same script from her previous post, but this time, the majority of comments⁣ were supportive and understanding of her humor.

One user‌ wrote, “You’re right,⁣ getting‍ up early and going to work can ruin your good ‌looks.”

Another commented, “Both this video⁢ and the ⁤first one gave me ‌life.”
